Susie Smith is an emerging artist, selling her work internationally as commissioned artwork for award-winning interior design projects

I have spent most of my working life as a professional interior designer, since qualifying in Spatial Design from Bournemouth & Poole College of Art and Design in 1997. My projects have included some of the most prestigious addresses in Prime Central London, which has included specifying art pieces to suit the design and colours of the room.

As well as Interior Design, I have always had a passion for being creative and recently started creating my own unique pieces combining feathers and hand sewn beads, displaying my love of both textiles and sewing. Most of the beads are recycled creating a watercolour effect in the pieces where the colours fade into one-another.

Living on the coast in West Sussex and walking on the beaches and in the harbours, enables me to collect discarded feathers from other birds apart from pheasant and duck. All of my pieces are entirely one-offs and a labour of love with no one piece being the same as another. Susie x

Happy collecting feathers from the foreshore

I am delighted to showcase my previous work to you and, if you see a piece you like, and would like similar or something completely different, please do get in touch.
